Trail Fest 2026

Spring is the hiker season for Northbound Pacific Crest Trail Hikers.
We support hikers in this area all year round, but Trail Fest is a super time for us to show our welcome and help if needed. We are all volunteers.
Trail Fest this year had a few things in addition to food, which after hiking for 109.5 miles might have been enough. This year had massage! Yes, there was a line. We had a Stretch for hikes class, so helpful. Fire Safety on the Trail, a video presentation. We talked about local birds and animals. Sierra Club brought their highly popular plastic poo- that is how to identify animals by the scat left on the trail. Legend and Bee had insights for hikers with Q + A under our new tent classroom. They also had warm dinners and breakfasts, a welcomed change.
We have the Climate River art installation and this year we continued the rock painting.
Original art postcards were made and sent to loved ones.
There was Merch with the 109.5 brand; bandanas, pendants and locally blended tea with special hiker tea bags.
DJ Matt kept it going all day and even made grilled corn on the cob in-between songs.
We had the GSOB Blitz along with Gerdie, the inflated beetle to help us all identify the bug that is killing our oak trees. With some training, hikers can report locations of sick trees. This info is super helpful for our database. Hikers are already out there!

The Adobe owners who shared their homes.
The volunteers — too many to list.
Hans, who kept it all fun and who weed‑whacked everything. Next year, goats.
To the Warner Springs Board members, especially Craig, who not only put up all the displays but was the embodiment of the spirit of Santa.
